From the Land of Five Rivers to the Gateway to the World

My name is Hardeep. Like me, it originates from Punjab, at the foothills of the Himalayas in North India, where Har-deep means “God’s light.” I’ve always thought it’s beautifully ironic, as it was a bit of enlightenment that brought me on my journey to AYURO.

As a young child, I moved to Hamburg, Germany, where I grew up and spent several years working in international trade in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries. Here I had first-hand experience with how these industries affected the natural world and the health of its inhabitants. During this time, I began a personal journey to my authentic and healthy self and was moved by a calling to do good in the world.

Back to My Roots

Punjab is known as “The Land of Five Rivers,” and when I returned, I was reminded of my childhood. Growing up in a farming family was truly delightful. Memories came flooding in. The smell of fresh earth and the excitement I felt at sunrise on the farm. The fun memories of playing as a little kid and if I hurt myself, my mother making a plaster with turmeric and ghee. It quickly relieved the pain and healed my injuries. My mother inspired me.

After years of not paying close attention to where I’m from, I started to feel the stress of our fast-paced modern world catching up with me. The wonderful childhood memories inspired me to reconnect with where I came from and the wisdom I had ignored for years. I used an ancient remedy that reminded me of the power of Ayurveda, “the knowledge of life.” It also made me feel reconnected with a simpler time and reinforced the knowledge that nature is always there for us - even when we lose connection with it.

It became clear to me that there are many others like me, who need to reconnect with nature, and a simpler, more balanced way of living. I wanted to share my experience and nature’s treasures to help people take their life back into their own hands and find balance again, just like I did.

Bringing it Home

Hamburg is known as “The Gateway to the World,” and for a good reason. It is where I learned how to ensure high-quality raw materials for global trade and where I furthered my research into the secrets of Ayurveda.

Having special ties with the US from my childhood days and now being married to an American (with half-American children), I could experience firsthand that there’s a particular need for clean, high-quality, and truly natural organic products in the US. I felt drawn to making these high-quality products available to the North American consumer.

Further research showed me that I was on the right path! I learned that consumers in the US are socially aware of the impact on the environment, society, and their own health. Our brand was exactly what they were looking for.

It all came together with a high-quality, expertly manufactured product line based on the principles of Ayurveda and what’s needed in a pressured modern world - now available nationwide in the US

With AYURO products, I help people improve their health and wellness through access to the best natural products. At the same time, I am happy that I can help improve the social privileges of those in need while doing my part to make the earth better and greener for all of us and our future generations.
